Sick Day Blues

Hi guys! Unfortunately, this stupid cold has knocked me down more than I thought it would so many of the pictures taken in this shoot had a bad case of sick face. Hence, the very few number of pictures where my face can be seen. Luckily, Luke managed to coax a few decent shots out of me. Anyhow, I'm off to an exciting day of staying out of the cold and watching "Dr. Who". Hopefully, I'll be back on my feet soon. See you later!

Back In The Swing of Things

Hey guys, I'm just popping in with a quick outfit post today. I've been feeling under the weather for the last few days and it's left me a bit ragged. That being said, I intend to spend my day watching junkie tv and becoming one with the couch. Anyhow, this is what I wore yesterday to run some errands. I picked this outfit because it's probably the comfiest thing ever. If you don't already own a pair of fleece lined leggings, you need to go buy some. They're as cozy as sweatpants, seriously. And this little swing dress  fits the bill for those days when you don't want your clothes to touch your body. Plus, I just plain liked this outfit. It made me feel slightly less icky, which, along with orange juice and nyquil, is all a sick person can really ask for.

Varsity

I'm probably the least sporty person ever but I love the look of a varsity jacket. When we got this sweater in the store, I knew it was coming home with me. I like it because it has cute little sporty details without coming off as too costumey. I really adore this jacket, but I had some trouble trying to figure out how to wear it. I think this outfit hits a good balance between girly and sporty. I can't wait to throw it over little sundresses in the spring, it'll be a great way to keep an outfit from being too sweet. Let me know in the comments how you would wear this jacket (I'd love some new ideas)!

Restart

Hello again! I've been a bit slack on posting lately but I'm hoping to get back into it now that all the holiday craziness is finally starting to abate. I've really missed blogging these past few weeks and I'm excited to start back up. I've also made the (super stereotypical) resolution to get healthier. I joined a gym and I'm trying to eat cleaner. I'm hoping that posting about this here will help keep me more accountable. So here's to a healthy and happy new year!

Real

Hi guys! Just popping in with an outfit post today! Whenever I know I'm taking pictures for the blog, I always feel pressured to come up with a really special outfit. I spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to put together something "worthy" and I end up frustrated and unhappy. This is obviously not the way I want my blog (or my life) to look. I want this place to be a genuine expression of me and of my style right now. Not that I'll ever stop being picky about what I wear on this blog, but I'm hoping to be more real. I don't always dress up and look great. Some mornings I throw on leggings and call it a day So that being said, here's what I wore yesterday. It's nothing spectacular, but I wore it and I liked it so here it is.

Off

Hello! Long time no see! I took some time away from the internet world to kind of unwind and celebrate the holidays. Christmas felt really strange to me this year. I didn't get to partake in a lot of my usual holiday traditions. I guess that's all a part of growing up, but it's not a particularly fun part. Oh well, at least I still got to spend some time with my family and friends. Luke and I actually took these pictures on New Year's Eve. I'm just getting around to posting them now because I took a little time off work and headed to Asheville for a few days. It was really nice to spend some time with my Mom, she's a pretty great lady.
